Understand liquidity

Chapter 1 · Lesson 34 min

Liquidity levels and zones

The orange line marks one level. The diamonds mark the zone that groups the levels around it. The candles show price moving toward them.

Level = one price

A liquidity level marks one price with liquidity. Here, the orange line marks 1.11450.

Zone = a price area

A liquidity zone groups nearby levels into one area. The diamonds (LZ) mark where the zone sits; it covers several prices, not just one.

The numbers in each pane title are for the latest candle. Move over the chart to read the values of any other candle.

L1 has the most liquidity on its side, then L2, down to L10. + means above price. − means below price. These numbers rank liquidity, not how close a level is to price. The top three levels on each side are shown by default.

LZ+ and LZ− mark areas with a lot of liquidity above and below price. A zone covers an area, not just one price.

Zone size (group nearby levels) is a display setting: a larger size combines more nearby levels. LZ marks a liquidity area. Level range sets how far from price you can see levels.
